Scanica® ships only quality items and we are confident that you will be delighted with your purchases.

However, there are a lot of things that can happen between our warehouse and your delivery location; therefore we are asking you to do a very small amount of work to protect yourself, and us. However, in the situation that happens unlikely, items may arrive damaged. To make sure that you are receiving what you ordered, and in acceptable condition, you must check, inspect and examine your shipment as it is unloaded.

In case the items arrive damaged by the carrier; you will have 2 business days to notify us the problem. If the products arrive with visible damages, refuse to accept the delivery and contact us immediately to arrange the merchandise to ship back to its origin at no charge. You are not responsible for any charge for returning damaged goods. Please also notify us of the situation as quickly as possible so we can follow-up on our end to assist with any necessary procedures.

On arrival, inspect the shipment straight away for signs of damage.

Any and all shortages and damages must be written on the Bill Of Lading or Freight Bill. In an unlikely event if damaged packaging or missing items are noticed, you MUST mention it in your note the discrepancy and the condition before you sign it! Then contact us to report any problems.

Your signature on the delivering carrier’s freight Bill Of Lading (BOL) shows that you are accepting the merchandise “as is” and in good order. If you do not inspect the products before signing the waiver, you are giving the right to collect on a damage claim even if the damage is discovered later. Make sure you only sign for the shipment once you are completely satisfied with the condition of the shipment. At any time you sign for the freight, always write “SUBJECT TO INSPECTION”.

Please notify us within 5 days of the receipt of delivery if you experience any damage and email us pictures of the damaged parts – we will investigate the issue and file a claim with the shipping company. It is our responsibility to replace any damaged parts as quickly as possible. Please keep in mind that It is very important that you keep the damaged part and all of the packaging as you will need to give it back with its original packaging to the freight carrier representative. 

Scanica® reserves the right to repair or replace damaged parts for minor defects.

As soon as the items arrive to the purchaser to the front door, it becomes the property of the buyer. If the following issue occurs such as, difficult access to the property, address provided is incorrect or incomplete, or the customer is unable to arrange to receive the delivery, any damage or costs gained following delivery or attempted delivery will be the responsibility of the buyer. We will ask our customer for payment of the additional charge to redirect or re-ship the order.

RETURNS OF UNDAMAGED GOODS (ONLINE OR PHONE ORDERS ONLY)

If you decide not to keep the merchandise that you have ordered on-line, you may return it within 30 days under the following conditions:

  1. The item(s) must be in perfect condition and returned in original manufacture’s packaging. Items that have been installed are not returnable. In the unlikely event that any damage is identified – please notify us before returning the item(s).
  2. Upon arrival of returned item(s) at the warehouse, the product(s) will be assessed by our staff. In case we find out the item(s) had been damaged by you, you may be asked to pay up to the full price of the item(s).
  3. When the warehouse staff receives your returned item(s) and after passing an inspection we will refund your account less original shipping cost. Scanica® will not cover shipping charges for any undamaged items returned.

CANCELLATION OF ON-LINE ORDERS

Orders can be cancelled at any time with the exception of Canadian made furniture. Please note that orders that has already been shipped to you, will still apply with shipping fees.

LIMITATIONS

Natural disparity in grain and color of wood, knots, pitch pockets, hairline cracks in the finish, over/under spraying or wood resin are not considered defects in craftsmanship and are not covered in warranty.
